About Prima

I am an artist and a scientist living in San Francisco, California. I studied the brain for my Bachelor's degree and have been obsessed with mixing biology and art since an aborted attempt at becoming an RN 12 years ago. I am a jack of all trades sort of person, and like to try a little of every medium (latest experiment is weaving!), but my long-standing favourite is plain old pen-and-paper. Comics are a current favourite means of expression, and I often include written word in my drawings. My inspiration and subject matter includes activism, gender and queer politics, biology, zombies and apocalyptic worlds, Sci-fi and SpecFic, and mom. Current goals include getting into graduate school and studying neuroscience, moving to some place with a yard (probably outside of SF), not completely f**king up at this whole parenting thing, and honoring my mom by staying creative.
